Fort Bend County commissioners approve HGAC delegates, multi-year public office bonds and two grants including $450,000 for transit

At its Jan. 14 meeting, the Fort Bend County Commissioners Court approved designation of delegates to the Houston-Galveston Area Council, unanimously recorded multi-year public office bonds covering key county offices, and approved two grant actions including a $450,000 Federal Transit Administration award ( $360,000 federal, $90,000 local ).

Fort Bend County warns of hard freeze, readies warming centers; offices closed Jan. 20 for MLK Day

Fort Bend County on Jan. 14 alerted residents to sub-freezing temperatures and hard freeze conditions expected early next week, said Health and Human Services is coordinating warming centers, and reiterated that county offices will be closed Jan. 20 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
