Dwayne Williams, a committee moderator, opened the Community Board 11 Community Development and Budget Priorities Committee meeting and summarized a City Planning training on how members will submit FY2028 budget priorities through the city portal. He reminded members the group would collect district needs and forward them to leadership for review before final submission; the City Planning submission deadline is Oct. 31.
Williams said the portal is intended to be user-friendly and encouraged members to try it rather than avoid the process. When a member asked whether the board could use a QR-code survey to gather input, Williams responded, "Oh man, I I love the way you think. Yes, that's exactly where we would want to be" and said the committee should aim to push toward online tools in future cycles. The committee agreed to use paper/analog submissions for this year and to pursue online outreach enhancements for the next budget cycle.
