Staff report: several development projects exceeded workforce and SBE participation goals

Mary Reid, director of the Department of Compliance and Engagement, and inclusion consultant Prism Technical presented final reports on human resource and RPP/SBE compliance for several projects. For National Flats (a 140‑unit affordable housing project completed in June), Prism Technical said the project "exceeded the SBE professional service participation by achieving 77% participation" and achieved 34% SBE construction participation and 57% workforce participation.

Committee members asked what drove the success; consultants and staff credited consistent monitoring, biweekly or monthly coordination and engagement with contractors and inclusion consultants. The department said these project reports were final and committee members moved to place them on file.
