Internal audit to present Medicaid focus area and risk assessment; fieldwork slated for Jan. 25 week

Chair walked the committee through the internal-audit timeline and the prior-year work with the Questar 3 BOCES internal-audit service. The committee was told a draft Medicaid-focused internal-audit report is in circulation and staff will finalize responses; that report is expected for presentation at the committee’s December 4 meeting.

Chair said the auditors will conduct the 2026–27 risk-assessment field work the week of Jan. 25 and will present risk-assessment results at the March 5 meeting. The district must submit the 2025–26 risk assessment and the selected focus area (Medicaid) to the state by April 30. Chair also noted the committee will select its 2026–27 internal-audit focus area at the December meeting.
