Board hears fraud presentation and approves matching funds for Northwest Community Action

A fraud presentation for the Financial Assistance program was delivered by Marc Cardinal during the Sept. 15 meeting. Financial Assistance Supervisor Sarah Noble was available during the presentation and related administrative discussion.

The Board reviewed a Northwest Community Action request for matching funds to support vehicle repair services and approved using Christmas Fund reserves to cover the match (M/S/C Bring, Kiesow 5-0). The Board also approved case actions and bills totaling $106,356.76 as part of Director authorizations (M/S/C Kiesow, Nybladh 5-0).

These items were presented during the Social Services portion of the agenda and were carried unanimously; no additional funding sources beyond the Christmas Fund reserves were identified in the meeting record.
