City schedules Sept. 30 open house for Title 15 code rewrite; Spearfish Creek master-plan open house to be held concurrently

City staff announced a community open house on Sept. 30 to launch a rewrite of Title 15 (zoning and development code) and to coordinate that public meeting with Parks & Recreation’s Spearfish Creek master-plan open house. The event will run from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the pavilion in City Park, and staff said they will circulate calendar invites and social-media notices.

"The community meeting ... will be in conjunction with the parks and rec department's community meeting on the Spearfish Creek master planning efforts," a staff member said, adding that the consultants will attend and the first steering-committee meeting is planned to occur around the same time. Staff asked commissioners to help publicize the open house to broaden participation.
