Speakers told the board that Coleman Health Services will operate the county's recovery housing after a provider transition. "They stepped up to the plate," the executive director said, noting that the men's house is open while the women's house awaits renovations driven by property ownership and upgrades.
Officials also described a prospective capital project at an Edison site to create an 8–10 unit permanent supportive housing development. They said the project will be more complicated than its financing, that local community capital funds may not be available as expected, and that they are pursuing non‑local funding and grant applications to support development.
Board members and partners stressed the need to sequence financing and approvals carefully; no final county appropriation for the housing project was recorded at the meeting.
