EURA approves State Street beautification payment and downtown striping plan; consultant fee approved

The Eagle Urban Renewal Agency approved multiple public-works items on Sept. 15. Commissioners approved a progress payment to Wright Brothers Construction for the State Street beautification project in the amount of $95,712.09 under Resolution No. 26-034.

The board also reviewed and approved a downtown parking striping plan prepared by Beck & Baird (Resolution No. 26-035). Commissioners discussed whether the plan would add parking capacity and a specific treatment in front of the Hemingway business; staff said the plan may allow about two additional spaces by tightening parking layouts.

In addition the board approved payment to Beck & Baird for the striping-plan preparation; staff stated the amount as $1,540 and the board approved Resolution No. 26-036 authorizing the payment and officers to implement the resolution.
