Chair refers pay‑raise timing to finance; committee to track policy rewrite

At the start of the meeting the Chair introduced unfinished business (item 20 26 19 13), asking that the matter of applying pay raises on the first pay run in July and January be referred to the finance committee.

The Chair said the request came from staff and noted an agenda request had been filed July 11. Members debated whether the policy rewrite had been discussed at recent meetings, with one committee member observing that prior discussion was truncated because a member (Jeff) had been absent for an earlier meeting. The group agreed to watch for the item and to follow up with staff and finance as needed.
