Committee approves 2027 meeting calendar, schedules January goals review

The Solid Waste Advisory Committee voted 7-0 to approve the 2027 meeting calendar, setting regular meetings in January, April, July and an early September session to avoid pre‑election scheduling conflicts. Committee members said the early September meeting helps calendar planning and staff confirmed holidays had been checked.

Members also discussed goals and the ad hoc metrics committee. The chair said ad hoc members could begin work before January and that staff's role is administrative; members volunteered to continue the monitoring and metrics work and the committee asked the chair and ad hoc members to schedule follow-up meetings.
