Board takes bids under advisement and adjourns after voice votes

At the meeting the chair asked the body to act on three procedural motions. First, the chair asked the board to include the Laporte Construction submission with two previously received bids for the bridge project; a committee member moved, another seconded, and the chair called for a voice vote that carried. Later, after staff opened four sealed bids for the France Park gatehouse, the chair asked for a motion to take those bids under advisement so staff could review them; again a committee member moved, a second was recorded, and the chair called a voice vote approving the action.

Finally, the chair entertained a motion to adjourn; a committee member moved and another seconded, and the chair called for a voice vote. The meeting ended with the chair asking for final comments and informal exchanges among participants. "All in favor. Aye," the chair said during the recorded voice votes.
