Executive director reports multiple departures and new investigator hires

The executive director provided a personnel update, noting significant staff turnover and forthcoming hires.

During staff reports the director thanked outgoing members Kelly Hook and Julia Eisentraut and confirmed Justin Cott's last day is Sept. 30 as he moves to a new job in Virginia. Deborah Defron will join replacing Julia. The director also said "Jackie works for the attorney general's office" and will join as a part-time investigator; a new forensic investigator named Chris will start on the 16th. The board reported approval for a 0.333 investigator position and said recruitment is underway for the non‑forensic investigator role.

Members acknowledged the transitions and the board noted it will check in periodically with staff who are deployed.
