At the ceremony's close, organizers announced additional remembrance events and acknowledged a logistical problem with some memorial plaques.
The Moderator asked attendees to join a morning tribute to first responders at 08:30AM the following day at the township 911 Monument in front of fire headquarters. The Moderator also announced a 10-mile Freedom Bike Ride starting at the fire headquarters and traveling to the Union County Echo Lake Park 911 Memorial Site, scheduled for Sunday at 09:30AM, weather permitting.
Event organizers apologized to families: three remembrance plaques were lost in transit and a replica plaque was used for the unveiling. They invited attendees to visit the newly unveiled monument and to view a 9/11 photo display in the town hall lobby and a screening at the Union Arts Center later the same night.
