Following the public-hearing continuation, the board convened its regular meeting and moved through a list of routine motions. Trustees approved minutes from prior meetings, budget-to-actual reports for August, and payment of bills. Motions to advertise bids for fuel-oil and propane service for village facilities were approved for opening in October.
The board carried a motion to allow the mayor to sign contract C1003611 for engineering and field studies to support redevelopment of village-owned sites in Philmont and adjacent locations. The clerk was authorized to open an electronic payments holding account. The board accepted an administrative resignation and approved hiring a part-time, non‑benefited administrative assistant and later carried a motion to hire Amelia MacIsaac as a part-time library clerk at $18.50 per hour. Trustees also authorized renewal of a library certificate of deposit (CD) for a 12-term with $56,700 rolled from the original CD.
