Several student representatives updated the board on school activities and student programming during the Sept. 10 meeting. Mila Benoro and Henry Murdock summarized events at Bridal/BGH including assemblies, PBIS recognition, athletics results and suicide-prevention activities. Student representatives from Brea Canyon and Brea Olinda High School highlighted athletics, club rush, and upcoming senior night activities.
The Brea Education Foundation’s Diana Maldonado and Christine Denbow presented a $1,000 donation to support the district’s adult transitional program at the high school. Program staff described the program as serving 18–22-year-old students with life-skills instruction, meal planning, job-application assistance through ROP and community-based field trips.
Board members thanked students and BEF representatives for their reports and support; trustees encouraged continued public engagement with events such as senior night and community activities.
