Public Works presented multiple project updates ahead of Cheverly Week. A resurfacing project for Boyd Park has broken ground; staff said there will be a 30‑day curing period and launched a community poll to choose design options for the multipurpose court, basketball/tennis finishes and playground elements. "These designs will include the multipurpose court, which we have 2 options for," a staff coordinator said, and directed residents to a pop‑up on the town website to review options.
Robin and other project leads updated the council on the Ealy Building: crews installed an underdrain and sodded the swale between the building and the field, but a permit revision remains pending and some interior work will resume only after the permit is approved; two field‑accessible restrooms are expected to be available for Cheverly Day. Staff also reported they had ordered Hospital Hill welcome signage to clarify town jurisdiction of upcoming roads and will coordinate sign language with council requests. Council asked staff to return with cost images and to keep residents informed about the construction timeline.
