Lawton Public Schools board advances strategic-plan update; stakeholder survey to launch soon

Superintendent Dr. Neil Weaver said the Lawton Public Schools board approved a plan to update the district's strategic plan and asked community members to contribute to the process. "A couple of weeks ago, our board of education approved the plan to move forward with the strategic plan," Weaver said, and added that stakeholder input is needed to shape the district's direction.

Weaver told listeners the district will release a survey "in about a week and a half" and encouraged parents, staff and community stakeholders to respond. The survey is intended to gather views that will inform goals and priorities as the district updates its plan for the coming years.
