The Avon Town Council approved several routine and legislative items during its Sept. 10 meeting. The consent agenda — including the check register for Sept. 10, executive session memoranda from Aug. 27 and approval of the Aug. 27 minutes — was approved on a motion by Jayson Puckett, seconded by Steve Eisenbarth; the roll call vote recorded five in favor.
Council approved a water easement along County Road 600 E for the Easton Grey project after Ryan Cannon presented the item; the motion to approve was made by Jayson Puckett and seconded by Robert Pope and passed 5-0. The council adopted Resolution 2026-21 to authorize equipment for retiring Deputy Chief Margason (motion by Robert Pope, second by Steve Eisenbarth, vote 5-0). The council also approved final readings of Ordinance 2026-11 (creating a Building and Construction Fund) and Ordinance 2026-12 (amending speed limits) on motions by Robert Pope with seconds and unanimous roll call votes recorded as 5-0. Attorney Anna Cron introduced Ordinance 2026-13 (amending the Storm Water Ordinance) and Ordinance 2026-14 (creating a Lane Mile Direct Distribution Fund) for future consideration; those were introduced but not voted on at this meeting.
