Brownsburg details $9M-plus capital projects, vehicle purchases and pumper payment

Town staff presented a capital-projects summary that lists more than $9 million in planned work and described an equipment list that includes seven new police vehicles and replacements for aged trucks and mowers. "Now we have a more comprehensive list in the budget memo that lists absolutely everything... but this is, we put this in groupings by each department," the presenter said.

The presenter and the fire territory representative clarified that a pumper truck ordered three years ago for $1.1 million is scheduled for delivery and payment in 2027, which affects that fund's budget line. "We approved to buy purchase a pumper for 1,100,000... we've been saving the cash back but we have to put it in the budget to make the payment," the fire representative said.
