Board approves two flood-removal reimbursement claims totaling $1,250

During other business the board reviewed and approved two reimbursement claims related to an August flood. The chair described one claim as "$750" handled by Jenny in Pulaski County and another as "$500" associated with work by Kirk/Ingram; members agreed both claims should be approved for payment.

Board members noted contractors had difficulty accessing some sites because pasture areas were flooded at the time and that some removals were delayed several days. One member said the state had been involved in removing a tree tied up around a bridge following the Jan. 19 event. The board voted to approve the claims by voice vote.

The board asked staff to process the approved claims; members expected additional claims to be submitted.
