Bleachers due Sept. 14; installation to begin immediately, staff says

Staff reported that the district received confirmation the new north bleachers will be delivered on Monday, Sept. 14, and installation will begin that day with completion expected by the end of September. “District received confirmation that the bleachers will be delivered on Monday, September 14. A board member asked whether the delivery schedule was delayed beyond expectations and whether the contract included timing commitments; staff replied the manufacturer delayed production and there were no contractual date guarantees. The facilities presenter explained Pennsylvania contracting practice, noting that liquidated‑damage clauses and incentives are limited and require demonstrable damages to enforce. Board members were reassured that installation will proceed as soon as the product arrives.

The superintendent flagged broader budget pressures during the meeting; staff confirmed the bleacher work is on budget and scheduled within the district’s capital plan.
