Representatives of Strawbridge Investments LLC described local market interest in the Festus parcels subject to PB26-0026 and said rezoning to NPI would allow them to pursue engineering and environmental review needed for development. Ken Gilo identified himself and the ownership: “The property is owned by Strawbridge Investments LLC,” he said, and provided an address in Festus.
Larry Goodwin told the commission he owns multiple properties on the county’s east side and said prospective tenants have asked him about warehouse and light-industrial space. “People are looking for white industrial usage property, where they’re looking for warehouse space,” Goodwin said, and added that although there have been contacts he was not prepared to disclose prospective buyers or contracts at this stage. He said the owners would proceed with necessary engineering and environmental work if the zoning change is approved.
