At its Sept. 10 meeting, the Emigration Canyon Planning Commission reviewed the draft minutes from its Aug. 13, 2026 meeting and requested a series of specific editorial corrections before approving them.
The chair opened discussion of the minutes as the meeting’s sole action item and several commissioners read aloud phrasing they wanted clarified. Commissioners asked staff to change unclear phrasing such as "a little overlap background" to "provided background," to replace "watershed production" with "watershed protection," and to correct transcription errors in speakers’ names and pronouns. Commissioner (S1) noted, "Diana is with our office. She's the city recorder," to confirm staff presence for the record. The commission asked staff to verify the audio recording where wording was uncertain—examples raised included whether Ryn Harris referred to a "backroom deal" (rather than a "backroom plant/plan") and whether a line should read "housing" rather than "hosing."
Because at least one commissioner had not had time to fully review the draft, the body agreed to postpone formal approval. The chair said staff (Wendy) would incorporate the edits and circulate a revised draft before the October meeting so commissioners could consider final approval then. The item was not voted on and remains scheduled for future action.
