IUSD approves easement dedications to Irvine Ranch Water District at two elementary sites

After brief public hearings with no public speakers, the Irvine Unified School District Board on Sept. 10 adopted resolutions authorizing dedication of easements to the Irvine Ranch Water District (IRWD) to allow IRWD to maintain and operate water and sewer pipelines at Greentree Elementary School and Santiago Hills Elementary School.

President Cyril Yu opened and closed the hearings on the Greentree easements and on the Santiago Hills easements with no comments; the Board then adopted Resolutions Nos. 24-25-17 and 24-25-18 for Greentree (water and sewer) and Resolutions Nos. 24-25-19 and 24-25-20 for Santiago Hills (water and sewer) by unanimous roll-call votes.

Board members said the dedications will allow IRWD to operate the pipelines necessary for school operations and site utilities. Motions to adopt each resolution were made and seconded as recorded in the minutes and approved unanimously.

The resolutions grant IRWD the rights described in the staff reports; minutes record there were no public objections during the hearings. District staff will proceed with the administrative steps needed to record the easements and coordinate construction or maintenance access with IRWD.
