Butler County clerk authorizes HUD environmental-review form and advertises bids for Job and Family Services

Laura Butler, Clerk of the Commission, informed the board of a Department of Housing and Urban Development environmental-review form and grant application related to Job and Family Services in the amount of $151,762. Butler stated that the board should "authorize the clerk of the board to advertise for bids to be received in the department of job and family services in office until 10AM on 11/15/2016 for office equipment." The clerk also reported several staff travel and training approvals and other procurement and contract items.

The grant and bid authorization were presented as routine items for administrative processing. Where planning commission approval was required for plats it had already been obtained; the HUD-related item will follow the county procurement and grant-administration process as required by federal rules and local procedures.
