An educational-services agreement with Max Technical Training to teach Excel skills for county employees was presented Oct. 24, 2016. The agreement, under Job and Family Services and described by Ray Pater, is "actually for our employees or staff" and targets more than line staff — "more the management" — to improve statistics and analytics skills. The contract term recorded in the item runs through Nov. 30, 2016, for an amount not to exceed $12,960.
Ray Pater said there were 14 slots available for each session and that classes were due to start the following day; he also mentioned a couple of empty spots. Commissioners indicated they would follow up if additional county employees could fill remaining slots. The board recorded the item for administrative processing; the county will execute the agreement and schedule the sessions per the contract terms.
