District administrators outlined the professional learning plan designed to align instruction across K–12 and strengthen coaching and data-driven decision-making.
The presenter said the plan is organized around five categories: high-quality tier 1 instruction, MTSS/data-informed decision-making, collaborative professional practice and coaching, student well-being (SEL) and equity/educator support. "One thing that we did this summer is we created a k 12 scope and sequence," the presenter said, describing efforts to vertically align instruction and build teacher leadership.
The plan includes curriculum audits for financial literacy, computer science/digital literacy and a portrait-of-a-graduate/STEAM audit for middle and high school. Administrators said about 80-plus staff participated over the summer, logging roughly 1,396 paid hours tied to collaborative curriculum work and coaching preparation.
Board members discussed how the plan ties to observation frameworks; presenters said coaching cycles will link to Danielson domain 3 practices and that instructional coaching is planned as embedded support with scheduled planning cycles. The board praised the work and asked for follow-up on how learning outcomes will map to observations and teacher evaluation.
