Policy committee outlines schedule; board pulls policy item for additional guidance

Committee member (speaker 2) reported progress on policy work: the district has completed review of policy sections in the 1000–4000 range and will move next to sections noted as 5006, 7000 and 8000 per state guidance. Additional August meetings were scheduled so the committee can finalize policy work before the school year.

At the start of the meeting the Chair announced an agenda amendment to remove policy 34 10 from the agenda for additional guidance. Committee member (speaker 2) also referenced policy 3310/33103 and noted some items were being retracted from final reading and others pushed for subsequent review; the board did not adopt the pulled policy at the Aug. 3 meeting.
