Hanover EDA reports uptick in prospect activity, business visits and planned outreach
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. — Economic Development staff reported a modest increase in prospect activity and a slate of outreach efforts at the Hanover County Economic Development Authority meeting on Aug. 12.

"Prospect activity is picking up slightly. Industrial/Flex leasing remains strong and supply chain activity for Data Centers remains strong," Secretary Brandon Turner said. He told the Authority that major permits pulled include the Mosaic Upfit, and that during July staff visited three businesses — Fine Metals, Hanover Self Storage and Greentop. Turner said two Business Walks are planned for the fall, one in the Airpark and another likely on Meadowbridge Road.

Staff also said they are compiling a list of restaurants and groups to market Hanover County as a location for higher-end restaurants and will present ideas for financial and non-financial incentives to the Community Development Committee for consideration.
