Jim Leung, president of the Irvine Unified Council Parent Teacher Association, addressed the Board during special presentations to say the IUCPTA supports all 43 school-site PTAs in the Irvine Unified School District and to promote PTA Membership Month and a campaign theme "Membership is So Sweet."
Leung said the previous year the district fell eight memberships short of being the top district by memberships in Orange County and urged interested community members to join. He closed by introducing members of the IUCPTA executive board to the Board of Education.
