Commissioners approve transfers and appropriations including $529,694 for juvenile rehab capital projects

Finance director Tawana Keels presented transfers and appropriations during the board meeting and asked the commissioners to approve general fund transfers and appropriations.

Keels outlined specific items: the sheriff is transferring $1,000 from employee salaries into unemployment; the treasurer is transferring $20 from other contract services into other expenses; commissioners' maintenance received a $5,000 appropriation for other contract services and $8,300 for capital equipment. Notably, juvenile rehabilitation capital projects were appropriated $529,694 "for their projects to continue," as Keels stated.

Board members moved to approve the finance items (with a later correction called out for a separate item) and recorded affirmative votes from the commissioners.
