Board accepts resignations, approves training expenses and other departmental resolutions

Clerk readings included noncontroversial personnel and administrative items across county offices. The board accepted the resignation of Gracie Austin as mail clerk effective Feb. 13, authorized the layoff of Kelly Jones (clerical supervisor) effective Feb. 18, and approved overnight training and travel expenses for several employees (examples: $265 for an executive board meeting, $2,483 for Water Leadership Institute travel, $1,229.78 for a workshop in Chicago).

Other routine approvals included acceptance of one-year maintenance bonds for Arbor Park Section 1 (Liberty Township) and Tyler's Vista (Westchester Township), issuance of certificates, and authorization for the engineer to proceed with maintenance and culvert repairs in Butler County for 2019, including necessary right-of-way acquisitions.
