Flo Butler, clerk of the board, presented a packet of year-end transfer, travel and personnel items and asked the board to consider them as a single grouped resolution. The items included travel and training reimbursements to employees across multiple departments, approval of compensatory-time payment, acceptance of the resignation of Bess Bryant effective Dec. 23, 2016, a one-day suspension for an employee in the water and sewer department, termination of a probationary children's services employee, and the appointment of W. Morrison as interim JFS executive director at a biweekly rate of $3,533.90.
Butler also presented procurement and grant items: she said the board should award employment-assistance services to Community Behavioral Health for $564,501 for one year (with subsequent years as listed in the resolution), and approve a $398,622.80 water-main replacement contract to A to GM Pipeline Inc. Commissioners approved the grouped resolution by motion and recorded unanimous affirmative votes.
