Lo Butler, clerk of the board, read consent and personnel items that included accepting the retirement of Laura Joy Campbell from the position of assistant HR director, effective July 21, 2017. The clerk also read Job and Family Services items: a request to hire Dwayne McDonald at an annual rate of $34,153.60 and a promotion for Alisa Peters with a new compensation rate increase from $13.77 to $15.82 per hour; several resignations were also recorded.
Matthew Dekkiewicz, executive director of the Butler County Regional Transit Authority, addressed the board as a visitor and invited commissioners and community leaders to tour RTA operations this fall. Dekkiewicz said the agency currently "provides over 500000 trips to school work job training and other resources in the community," and commissioners thanked him and asked their staff to arrange a visit.
