City management used visual aids during the Sept. 8 meeting to brief council on ongoing capital projects, water production metrics and parks events.
The presentation noted that lighting conduit and landscaping for the perimeter trail are in place and light‑pole pours will occur soon, putting the dam, spillway and perimeter trail near completion: "Once that's open, we'll have a trail clear around the park that will total about 2 miles," management said. Other highlighted projects: final roadway work on Bristol Ester Street (expected by end of November), Mumford Road nearing punch-list completion and Oakmont Lift Station wet well nearing end-of-month completion.
Water-production data provided in the presentation showed August pumping of about 726 million gallons (peak day roughly 25 million and average daily pumping near 23.5 million), up from last August's figures. Parks updates included Midtown Legacy Park playground installation resuming following weather delays, senior events, and a downtown history walking tour.
Management also previewed forthcoming items to council, including a lead service line inventory and upcoming bids for a waterline relocation; staff said those items would come to council in October.
