Commissioners approve $180,000 purchase of two concrete box covers for Precinct 2

Purchasing staff member Lorena presented a procurement request to the Kaufman County Commissioners Court to buy two concrete box covers from MB Concrete for use in Precinct 2 road repairs under Bid 2025-003. She said the purchase meets purchasing requirements and specifications and that the total price for both units is $180,000.

"The total price tag on this is 180,000 for both cohorts," Lorena told the court. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the procurement by voice vote. The judge and commissioners commented on rising costs for such infrastructure materials and affirmed the purchase as a precinct capital expense.
