At its Sept. 8 meeting, the Menasha Board of Public Works recorded the following formal actions: approval of the Aug. 17, 2026 minutes (voice vote); approval of change order #1 (final) for contract 2026-06 (net $0); approval of payment #1 and final to Farner Asphalt Sealers LLC for $55,716; approval of a street-use permit for Rally for the Valley (amended to set closure hours 8 a.m.–midnight; vote 7–1); approval of the Otto Grunsky Run street-use permit with closure hours 6:30 a.m.–10:30 a.m. (8–0); and approval of the Hometown Halloween street-use permit with closure hours 3 p.m.–6:30 p.m. (8–0).
Clerk Janet recorded the formal tallies; Attorney Struve noted organizers would provide insurance information for Rally for the Valley at the common council meeting. Department Head James provided additional context on chip-seal work and post-tornado reconstruction but no further votes were taken on those items.
