High school artists present new painting for district office

Students from Cornwall High School and their art teacher presented a new painting that will hang in the district office conference room. Mrs. Deanes introduced the artists — Selena Dong, Emma Adriano, Leah Chakra, Grace Kushner, and Rosemarie Wiley — and said the piece ‘‘is a representation of collaboration, hard work, and visually celebrates our Cornwall community.’’

Board members thanked the students and staff for the donation and said the painting will be a lasting gift for the district. One board member suggested the work might be reproduced as prints to display more widely in district buildings.
