Board approves committee rosters and names OXPA, legislative and NISBA delegates

Board President Christine reviewed proposed committee assignments and read names for audit, communications, facilities, policy and visitation committees. She said Kathleen Hand would chair the audit committee, with Margaret Quinn and the president serving as members. "Thank you, Kathleen," Christine said when announcing the appointment. Christine also named Bridal (Brendan) Carty as chair of the communications committee with Jamie Fox, Margaret Quinn and Lofton Reiser as members.

The board moved and approved the committee lists by voice vote. On districtwide representation, Christine proposed Margaret Quinn for OXPA delegate with Kate Cary as alternate and recommended Jim continue as the board’s legislative liaison; the board approved those appointments. For the statewide school boards organization process (NISBA), Christine agreed to coordinate distribution of proposed resolutions and to serve as the board delegate for the October packet of resolutions, with Jim serving as the official alternate. "I will take charge to get the resolutions out to everybody to read," Christine said. The board recorded a voice vote of aye and approved the appointments.
