Petrolia CISD board adopts $0.96450 total tax rate, approves 2026–27 budget

The Petrolia CISD Board of Trustees approved the district's 2026–2027 budget and adopted a total tax rate of $0.96450 during its Aug. 31 regular meeting. Business Manager Theresa Harrison presented the proposed budget and the recommended tax rates during a public hearing with no members of the public in attendance.

Theresa Harrison, business manager, presented the proposed rates and reported: "M&O $0.75150 I&S $0.21300 Total $0.96450." Following the presentation, Trustee Chad Trietsch moved to adopt the rates and Trustee Camille Bowman seconded the motion; the board voted unanimously, 7'–'0.

The board also approved the district's budgets for General Fund 199, Child Nutrition Fund 240, and Debt Service Fund 599. Vice‑President Zach Bennett moved to approve the budgets, and Trustee Chad Trietsch seconded; the motion passed 7'–'0. The meeting record shows those approvals were part of the same budget agenda item.
