Christian County commissioners approved a resolution adopting the county's updated hazard-mitigation plan after Emergency Management Agency staff said the document was ready pending signatures.
EMA staff said the plan had been circulated with changes highlighted and that signatures from the commission were the remaining step. Commissioner S6 moved to approve the resolution; another commissioner seconded and the board voted in favor. "Thomas has been working very hard on this, and we're as close as we can get until we get signatures from you all," EMA staff member Mary said during the discussion.
Commissioners said the highlighted changes helped and that having the plan on the record would place the county in a stronger position for future issues. The commission recorded the approval and expects signatures to be completed following the meeting.
