Motorola Solutions submitted a formal, dated proposal (Sept. 3, 2026) to the county for an upgrade of the video management system serving the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office and other county facilities. The packet shows a detailed bill of materials for the Jail/Law Enforcement Center and county facilities plus a pricing summary: equipment $806,656.48 and installation and standard support $77,449.12, for a grand total of $884,105.60 (excluding applicable taxes).
"Motorola Solutions is pleased to have the opportunity to provide the Dallas County Sheriff Office, ID with our Avigilon Unity and Avigilon Alta products," reads the cover letter signed by Motorola Area Sales Manager Fran Cueva in the packet. The proposal describes work for the Law Enforcement Center (two AINVR servers for 365-day retention on specific jail cameras) and an Avigilon Alta cloud connector for the Administration Building, plus detailed camera lists and retention assumptions.
Motorola’s payment schedule in the packet calls for 50% of the contract price due upon contract execution and the remaining 50% after July 1, 2027; lifecycle and subscription payments would be invoiced annually in advance. The proposal also notes a change-order process and standard Sourcewell flow-down terms when purchasing under Sourcewell contract #020625-MOT.
The packet materials in the meeting record do not show a Board vote at the Sept. 8 session. The Motorola proposal is provided in the packet for review and potential future action by the Board or staff procurement teams.
