The community calendar included tours at the Steinbeck House (Sept. 5–7), Medicare counseling at East Hampton Library on Sept. 8, the Hamptons Jazz Fest (Sept. 12) and the Montauk Seafood Festival (Sept. 12–13). The program also noted that Hampton Bays student Eleanor Ramsey received the Suffolk County Legislature's Distinguished Youth Gold Award and was honored by Legislator Anne Welker.
