Julia, HHS staff, told the committee that the ADRC has been relocated back to the courthouse and that bringing staff together has shown “immediate, positive impact” despite tight space.
"We moved the ADRC back to the courthouse," Julia said, noting the move required unexpected behind‑the‑scenes work but has improved staff connections. She proposed a walk‑through for committee members at a future meeting so they could see the new configuration in person.
Julia detailed staffing changes after the relocation: one ADRC specialist resigned, interviews were held, and Erica Prince (previously a CPS worker) was offered the ADRC specialist role, which in turn opened a CPS ongoing‑case position. Julia summarized the ADRC team now includes a dementia‑care specialist, a long‑term ADRC specialist, an elder‑benefit specialist (EBS), and staff preparing for Medicare open enrollment.
Open‑enrollment operations were highlighted: staff member Shannon, who started about a year earlier, is preparing for another enrollment season and was described as having successfully managed a prior year. Committee members were told the office expects to be fully operational for enrollment work in the coming months.
The committee agreed to follow up with a more comprehensive operational report later in the fall.
