Van Cortlandt Park free movie series returns Sept. 11 with 'Four-Legged Friends' theme

The Van Cortlandt Park Alliance said its annual free movie series will return to the park on Friday nights starting Sept. 11 (year not specified) with the theme "four-legged friends." Films listed on air include Babe, Best in Show, Ratatouille and Paddington 2.

"We have our, our annual free movie series in the park coming up, and that is going to be on Friday nights, coming up in September. So the 1st 1 is September 11," Executive Director Stephanie Ehrlich said. Ehrlich said the Alliance partners with radio outlet WFUV for pre-movie DJ programming and that crafts and family-friendly activities will be available on site.

Ehrlich directed listeners to vancortland.org for the full schedule and volunteer information. She said the series is part of a broader slate of seasonal programming meant to engage families and neighbors with the park.
