The board voted to approve an addendum to the city's standing contract with promoter Ready Live that will permit a free community concert tied to storm recovery efforts.
Adam described the arrangement, saying the concert would be offered free to the public and that revenues would first reimburse city expenses. He described partnerships with township trustees and local churches to distribute aid and gift cards to residents in need. "Right now, there's possibly 3,000 tickets that are sold or not given away," Adam said, explaining anticipated attendance and ticket distribution plans. The mayor moved to approve the addendum and the board approved it without further discussion.
Adam said the promoter was taking a financial risk by offering free entry and that any net proceeds after city expenses would be directed back to local trustee offices or food pantries. Staff noted the addendum aligns with the city's existing event contract structure and will be processed per usual event permitting and contract procedures.
