The Rochester Board of Education recessed into an executive session on Friday, September 4 to consider resolutions and to receive legal counsel, the board’s chair said. "We'll be entering into executive session to discuss these resolutions," the chair announced as the meeting opened.
The chair said the closed meeting would cover "matters leading to the appointment or removal of a particular corporation and or to receive the advice of general counsel as permitted by section 105 of the open meetings law." A motion to recess into the executive session was made by Commissioner McCullough and seconded by Vice President Malloy; the board moved to the designated conference room for the closed session.
The board later reconvened in public and resumed consideration of the resolutions that had prompted the closed meeting. No substantive details from the executive session were disclosed on the public record at the reconvening.
