Committee approves multiple 2027 position changes for Wayne County

The Wayne County Government Operations Committee on Sept. 3 approved a package of personnel transmittals for the 2027 budget, each recorded in the minutes as "Approved 5-0." The resolutions covered several departments, including Wayne County EMS, Mental Health, and the Wayne County Nursing Home.

The approved items included authorization to abolish and create positions within Wayne County EMS; creation of two senior mental health clinician positions coupled with the abolition of one mental health clinician and one psychologist position; authorization to create a program supervisor and abolish a supervisory social worker; and additions and reclassifications of resident attendant positions at the Wayne County Nursing Home. The minutes record unanimous committee approval of these transmittals.
