County readies witnesses for Homesteaders Curve solar CPCN hearing; procurement code update ongoing

Staff member (S7) reminded commissioners that the Homesteaders Curve Solar Project CPCN hearing is scheduled for 09/15/2026 at 2:00 p.m. via Zoom and said the county will present witnesses and cross-examine the applicant. "That hearing is scheduled for 09/15/2026 at 02:00. It's a Zoom hearing. We'll be presenting our our witnesses, and having the opportunity to cross examine the applicant's witnesses," S7 said.

S7 also said staff are continuing procurement code updates in coordination with finance and public works and are awaiting water-conservation documents from American Water; if no response arrives within weeks, staff will evaluate alternative actions. Commissioners were told to expect more detailed materials as hearings and code revisions move forward.
