The committee received a midyear communications and marketing report covering Jan.–June 2026 that highlighted growth in social metrics and a plan to produce timelier "board happenings" updates.
Justin told the committee Facebook remains the main channel for family engagement and said the district's YouTube channel averaged "6,288 views." He highlighted top social posts from the year, including student features and senior walk coverage, and emphasized a push to make meeting previews and notes more timely than the formal minutes.
Committee members discussed platform strategy (Facebook vs. YouTube vs. Instagram) and how to balance live meeting content with curated district storytelling. Justin and the Chair said the communications office and board liaison will collaborate on a review process so content is accurate and timely before publication.
The communications team also noted work on accessibility (in anticipation of upcoming laws) and an exploration of transcript/searchable video tools to let the public search past meetings and topics.
